Mushroom Soup
A friend texted me the other morning saying ‘Turn on breakfast television there’s a bloke doing your blog’. Unfortunately, I missed the piece but after a bit of research I’m guessing she was referring to a guy from New York called Tucker Shaw who must be on a promotional tour for his book Everything I Ate: A Year in the Life of My Mouth. In fact New York seems to be the epicenter of food based blogs if Chowhound, the Jeff Next Door and A Full Belly are anything to go by. But there must be other people aside from myself, Dave and Karen doing this in the UK… mustn’t there?

Goat's Cheese Filo Parcel with Pesto
I’ve been going to the Everyman Bistro for ten years and it’s always been one of the most reliable places in the city for a quick bite and a pint. Mind you, the goat’s cheese in this dish really hit me over the head with salt (though that's probably not the Everyman's fault).
Goats cheese and pesto filo parcel (don’t know where it’s from but the Everyman always tries to source their ingredients as locally as possible)
Tomato and green been salad (ditto)

Beer and Crisps
Went for a drink after work and didn't have my camera. My friend Bob took a picture using his mobile and sent it to me but I haven't worked how to download phone pics to my computer yet.
Summer ale (UK- I'm sure it had a very detailed specific location but I've forgotten)
Taytos Prawn Cocktail Crisps (Ireland)
'Chip Kebab' consumed later not shown (unknown origin)

Baked Salmon and Potatoes Boulanger
Salmon (Scotland) 'Farmed Organic' rather than the wild stuff we had last week. Don't know which is worse- farming or flying it from Alaska. Healthwise it's clearly the former if this is anything to go by. Don't really like the sound of polychlorinated biphenyls.
